Fonce News: 4/26/2005

Calling hours are Thursday 4/28/05 from 4pm-7pm at Rossi funeral home in Niles. Burial will begin Friday 4/29/05 at 9am at Rossi, then to Mt. Carmel Church and finally to the cemetery where there will be a full Military burial with Honor Guards. My Grandfather deserves this and so much more for his service to our country and for his full, rich life he lead. Take care everyone.

Fonce News: 4/25/2005

I can't find the words to express how I feel right now. We got the call at 3:28am this morning, he went in his sleep as we had all prayed for so many times before. He is finally at rest now, with his Angel, Together Forever. We had him for 85 years and it wasn't long enough, now he and Grandma are together in heaven and if I know them, she is yelling at him right now asking him what took him so long! :-D Just typing that makes me smile for a second. We are going to focus on the good from here on out, they gave us all amazing memories and we cherish those now and forever. All I can say for now is goodbye, we will love and miss you both forever. I will update again with more information as it becomes available. GOD bless.

Grandpa is still holding on, but it won't be much longer. He is SO strong but the cancer is stronger. To anyone who has ever gone thru this, you understand how hard it is. We love him so, but soon we know he won't suffer anymore and he will be with his Angel From Heaven, in Heaven, and that alone is so comforting for the family. We love you Grandpa, it's ok, you can go be with Grandma now, kiss her for us when you see her again and tell her we love her just as much as we love you.

Its hard to sit and watch what that BASTARD cancer does to your loved ones. I never thought that only a few short months after she left us that I'd be writing here that Grandpa is going to be with her again so soon. Say a prayer for him and for the family, I pray he goes in peace. We had a small party for his 85th birthday last week, here are a few pix for you to check out.

My Grandmother passed away tonight. I along with most of my family was there with her at her home when she passed. It was simply put the hardest thing I have ever done. I wasn't sure I wanted to be there, but something told me to not only be there but to stay. I am thankful that I was and did. I watched as my Grandfather's heart broke...in that moment I witnessed true love lost in its purest and simplest form. He lost his wife of 63 years, my heart broke for him and it continues to break...I loved my Grandmother and I always will...you would have too if you had met her. - Mike
